The profession of Beekeeper and Bee projects on the Internet

During the Professions Week in April 2023 and the upcoming Labor Day - May 1, 2023, the project team visited the pupils of the III-th "A" class at Secondary School "St. Cyril and Methodius" - Burgas.

The children looked at the MEDARKA.EU project site and learned how many stable professions are needed to work in harmony with the beekeeper to realize a successful business model in the long term. The pupils were impressed that a beekeeper needs to insure his apiaries, as well as work with a professional accountant, marketer and lawyer, as well as project management consultants. The burgas pupils learned about the ways to create their ideas through a project, as well as the stages of realization of each project. Interaction with freelance professionals in various economic sectors, such as tourism companies and professional tour guides, and historians as well, enriched their ideas about the modern function of apiaries and the need to sell bee products on the Internet through an attractive advertising form.

Each pupil received the Brochure for children - "The Bee and the Water" - Origami for children, made according to the project and available on the site. The advertising material impressed them with brief facts about Bees, for example, how they dance while collecting their bee pollen and when Winter and Summer Beekeeper's Day is celebrated in Bulgaria, as well as when are World Bee Day and their ambassadorial mission to cause pollinators.

The pupils also digitally got to know several of the protected natural areas in the Burgas region and identified for future school trips apiaries near them and the town of Kameno.

For the first time, they discovered that the bees' recipe for making honey = bee pollen + fresh water + salt water.
